Discover our new AEC program - Concept Art (NTL.1V)
After seven years of existence, we felt it necessary to renew and improve our successful AEC program. We have built a program that will provide an even more enriching and comprehensive learning experience for aspiring artists like you. This process responds to the following elements:
1. The evolution of the conceptual art discipline, notably through the emergence of new technologies and in view of new industry requirements;
2. Areas for improvement raised by our experience over the years, and by a thorough evaluation process that was carried by questioning former students, teachers and companies who have hired our students;
3. The will to make our program more accessible.
The improvements that our new AEC program - Concept Art (NTL.1V) holds are :
A 24 month program (8 sessions)
A longer program will ensure a more balanced workload; offer more professional meetings, social and educational activities, and above all, bring students up to speed on the basic skills and fundamentals they need to possess for the entertainment industry.
Course improvements
In the new program, we have developed new classes and provided a better distribution of the time allocated to each skill to meet the demands of the job market in the entertainment industry.
New courses and workshops include:
○ A stronger focus on 3D for Concept;
○ Better preparation for the adaptation of skills, both technical and interpersonal, to the demands of the job market;
○ More experiential and team work to reflect closely the conditions in the work context;
○ Further emphasis on students having a solid grasp of fundamental concepts and demonstrating strong proficiency in their skills.
○ A more balanced workload to allow for more professional encounters as well as social and educational activities;
○ An adjustment of creature design in our courses.
A more accessible entry level
The range of skills required to enter the program have been revised downwards to make the program more accessible.
The first term of the program will be dedicated to consolidating the fundamentals, with the aim of bringing all students up to the general level needed to continue their learning with all the right tools.
